METBENCH is an automated calibration system developed by NSWC Corona Division, and is designed to be an integral part of the capability required to perform calibration of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) at depot, intermediate, and commercial calibration activities. METBENCH also provides calibration recall, asset management and tracking, work status reporting, results capturing, and up-lining results data through the METBENCH Calibration Management System (MCMS). The MCMS system replaces three legacy applications (CRIS, AIS PC, and CRL), currently installed on ships.

MCMS combined with METBENCH reduces calibration cost through automation, faster turn-around time and reduced paperwork and manual error prone data entry. In FY 09, the MCMS system was successfully installed on thirty two Guided Missile Destroyers (DDG), Guided Missile Cruisers (CG), Guided Missile Frigates (FFG), Amphibious Ships (LSD), and Mine Countermeasure Ships (MCM) and over twenty installations are currently schedule for FY 10.
